C=Clinical examination

T=Thyroid scan
C=Cardiac Catheterization

History should include 4 points ODIN
1.Onset(Sudden or gradual)
2.Duration (progressive Dysphagia or intermittent dysphagia)
3.Intolerance to acidic fruit(indicates ulcerative lesions)
4.Nature of food (Solid or liquid with which type of food dysphagia is seen)

History is extremely helpful in diagnosing many conditions for example Achalasia Cardiac History
Onset=gradual
Duration=progressive dysphagia
Intolerance to acidic fruit=absent
Nature of food=for both solid and liquid
